Saturday, October 20, 2001 Ok so now for three weeks I've been trying to write a blog. And each time I come back to my room I get incredibly tired or I never finished the blog or twice I tried to write a blog and after writing a whole bunch I click to another window and it all disappears. How frustrated am I?...VERY. Many days have elapsed since my last blog and my memory isn't serving me all too well. I'm going to try to the best of my ability to remember everything that I've tried many times to put into my blog but each time has disappeared. And so much has happened. This is going to be a longggg blog... So last weekend (10/12-14) I went home after what was an insane week here at MSU. First it starts off all nice on Monday when I receive pleasant and shocking news that one of my friends is pregnant. Yippee! Woohoo! Congrats. Not too bad right? Well Tuesday rolls around and all of a sudden I receive a call from a very good friend who is in tears and incredibly upset. I hate when that happens. Then I am confronted by a fellow sister in Christ. Great. Not what I needed at that point. But all goes well cept for the fact that I still have a friend who is incredibly upset. So I stay up to talk to her until late to try my best to help. Afterwards Wednesday is here so I have an issue after the confrontation with another individual who I got a little angry at. By this time there was a whole big messy chaotic circle going on. So I needed to have a "chat" with that person. Well not too bad all goes well...so well that we decided to go shopping later in the day and take along my very upset good friend...it got our minds off of the CHAOS at hand and we had a good time. Whew. Well thursday morning I get up and check my e-mail...and I find out that a friend of mine is hit by a drunk driver being chased by the police. Thud my hear goes plop. But to my relief she's ok. NOTE: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. It's one of the dumbest things anyone can do. Especially since I held a position on the SADD executive board in high school. Don't ever let me catch anyone of you. So then the day progresses and I find out two of the friends within that messy circle are at odds again...ARGH. So I talk to one and the other I have no clue but that too was an EXTREMELY long night. By this time I am mentally, emotionally and physically DRAINED. Losing sleep, crying, confrontations, EVERYTHING! But Friday I went home and boy did I need that escape. So the weekend is finally here and I escape from it all and I'm back at home. What a nice weekend. Ahhh. Some work at the restaurant...some dim sum on saturday morning...yummy ^_^. And so my main purpose in going home was getting a coat and some winter shoes. Well hmm I've wanted a pea coat for a long time now and they're nice. Really cute. So Sunday after church my mom takes me shopping. Dude boy am I glad I went home...I got a really really nice coat...for a not so nice price. But I got a 30% discount! And it's a nice CK coat...texturized pea coat....ooooo...ahhh. Now I kinda can't wait for it to get cold just so I can wear it. Then coming back from the weekend I was thinking I hope everything is ok now. And to my relief most of it was. And Monday Oct. 15, 2001 was my first concert in the USA ever. Maybe just my first concert ever...yeah that's it. Well it was the Songs 4 Worship concert in which a number of Christian artists came and performed at the Breslin center. How was it? Words cannot describe how cool it was. So many people just praising and coming together to worship without a care in the world was the most invigorating and refreshing feeling. I was just screaming the songs and I still couldn't hear myself but I didn't care I was praising God. I'm surprised that I didn't lose my voice. It was such a great experience. And isn't Michael W.
