Monday, October 22, 2001 So what's YOUR opinion of Sweetest Day? A useless made up day to help support chocolate manufacturer's? Something to keep the florists goin' when it's nearing winter? *sigh* Have you ever just felt kinda like "man wish I had a bf/gf?" Well boy have I been feelin' that lately. ARGH and it's so frustrating since I proclaim to be a Christian then how come I am not satisfied? Well yesterday was Sweetest Day. At first I completely forgot and my good girlfriends called me and we went to the Olive Garden for lunch. DELICIOUS might I add we ate so much and I just splurged cause hey I hadn't gone out to eat in a long time ya know? And we did a little shopping and went back to their dorm and I had never laughed so hard because back in the dorm there were all these lady bugs. And this friend and I went on a bug killing spree while the other sat with a stuffed animal and screamed. What is wrong with the MSU campus? At times it smells like dung, at others it's just simply gorgeous and you can't ask for more. And then you get these SWARMS of lady bugs and they choose to land at different windows. For instance my room has had a max of what?....one or two lady bugs...but seriously yesterday in this other room which is NOT AT ALL far from mine there were MOBS of them. Gross. And I killed a spider! *gasp* I have such a great fear of spiders. Why? I'm bigger than them...I can kill em with a shoe. Maybe it's just cause they're hideous and I think they're just as nasty as mosquitos. So after that whole episode we rented a couple of movies and watched them together. Don't get me wrong it was a great night. It's something that'll stay in my memory forever...my friend sucking up ladybugs with a duster buster and the other reminding me of a little girl that gets disgusted at nearly everything. But you know...I'm 18 nearly 19 and I still haven't dated. I know that I should be patient and I always get people telling me..."you're not missing out"..."then your first boyfriend will be all the more special"....etc. etc. But dude I went to an all girls school for four years for crying out loud. It's kinda ironic too that a person that I have in mind that I think of ...his birthday was yesterday...same day as sweetest day. Ugh someone gag me or hit me with a bat. Wake me up and get me out of this dream. Or knock me out with a baseball bat and let me have a nicer dream. posted by Sewa at 4:22:00 AM # |
