Thoughts of a Growing Christian | |||
Thursday, April 17, 2003 Today was one of those days... I had one of those days where a girl suddenly cries at the drop of a hat and she can't put her finger on why she's crying uncontrollably. Although there are a few events in particular, sometimes things like emotions get the better of you and it's once again that I wish I feel nothing. I feel like I have double standards, one of the things I hate the most as a human being. When it comes down to it...I've been having a lot of fun lately yes. I love being with people and I love the laughs that come with it. But as much as I love it I hate being vulnerable.... with that let me tell you a little story..."A Broken Cinderella" There once was a girl named Cinderella. She lived her life happily content with nature around her and the wonderful animals that made her smile. She had God and a wonderful family. She knew she was blessed but in her heart there was something missing. Cinderella's dreams were that of a fairy tale. In her world things were always happy. But what Cinderella didn't know was that all happy things come to an end. Cinderella was hopeful and tried to trust in God. But events around her make her faithfulness falter. She awakens from this daydream. She realizes that her fate and her destiny were not anything she had pictured. Her happily ever after ending was only her wish that was to never be fulfilled. The dream of a romance was only a dream and now reality finds her and she realizes there's no one looking for her with the other glass slipper because he never existed...the glass slipper never existed and neither ever will... posted by Sewa at 2:29:00 AM # Sunday, April 13, 2003 I just deveined 104 shrimps today. I have now also acquired numerous little cuts from the shells and the heads poking into my hands. Since then I have washed my hands about 5-6 times...and they still smell like shrimp. Bleugh... Oh well...the hard part is done with. I get to eat them tomorrow and share them with my friends at school...wahoo! posted by Sewa at 1:37:00 AM # |
