Saturday, September 20, 2003 It's been pretty idle in here for awhile. Life has been super busy and so many things have happened that I can hardly even keep them organized in the depths of my own mind. It's been roughly a month and some since I've updated and it feels like it's been months. As I try to tell myself let's keep this one short and sweet and organized I fear a rambling blog coming on just to have some memories stashed away here before they're lost like some have already been. Before school started, I got to see my cousin Cartson again. I haven't seen him in about 17 years? We couldn't even remember it's been that long. We never did really keep in touch, an occasional IM here and there only in the past couple of years. And it was rather odd thinking I wonder what he is like now. Or how would things be different if the past didn't occur and our families were closer. Him and I are very very close in age. When I heard he was coming I was excited to see him again. I've never been to close to any of my other cousins; they're all rather young or the two from my father's side is close to John. But when he got here it was so nice to "re-meet" my cousin. And finally get to know him a bit more. His mom had said to me "you two were so close when you were younger" but I have little recollection of this, let alone some other memories of my birthplace Houston, TX. But it was cool, I cherished the big family reunion on my mom's side. I feel as though I could talk to him like I've been close to him all my life or as though we never lost contact. One thing is for sure though my cousin can breakdance like no other and I'm sure he can give any of you hustlahs out there a run for your money. And as far as I know he's a hot commodity with the ladies where he's from ^_^. Hmm went to Toronto again with Cassie before we moved back to school. The trips are never uneventful aren't they? Just for old time's sake I'm gonna list some highlight's. 1. Me:I don't see any cars...do you see any cars? I can't go this way? But I don't see any cars I'm gonna make my own way. Cassie: AHHH I'm gonna DIE!!! *with her hands covering her head as though she were in a grade school fire drill. 2. What's just happened? Did I just exchange numbers with my hairstylist???? Oh goodness...and we're hanging out with him???? 3. It must be our chemistry together...."eww sheesh he's hanging out of his window....you made his day....ugh..." 4. The 4.5 hours and the orange plastic bagged hair....just the salon altogether. 5. Before and Afters. 6. The ride home....the obscene boys...."only with you Sewa."....the MAJOR boredom cures...shhh....and the 6hrs...another successful trip. Then there was of course the blackout 2003 that occurred before that...just wow. And then it was time to move into our fabulous apt. That is just marvelous and I'm lovin' the apt life. We had a very successful open house as well. And it just makes me wonder how I managed the dorms for two years...never going back...we've all agreed that we're major spoiled out here. But yeah too bad I didn't blog consistently over the past month. So much has happened and right now I just can't recall any of it. It's probably too late and I need to sleep.
