Thursday, April 08, 2004 A real sign posted by the Red Cedar River on our campus... NOTICE These ducks, geese & other wild fowl are mainained for your interest & pleasure, protect them! University property is game refuge & shooting or taking of any game is a misdemeanor punishable by fine. Feed the ducks bread or grain if you wish but DO NOT MOLEST THEM! ~Ground Maintenance Department Ummm who MOLESTS THE DUCKS??? Why was it necessary to put that sign up? I could not help but laugh. I've seen this sign before but I forgot to post about it. But this was more surprising, as I passed the sign and then I saw chalked on the sidewalk..."April 7th...National Hug a Duck Day." It's a brand new yamaha R-1!!! Isn't it soooooo pretty? He has a silver and black one. And at first I told him to go really really slow because I don't know about you but I like to drive with the secure feeling of alot of metal around me and safety cages and all that. But we hit 80 and I was like "oh...it's not that bad." We hit 110 mph! Wahoo!!!! So fun! I want one I want one! The only thing...bug splatter on your helmet and your clothes smell of gasoline afterwards. I was laughing at first cause I completely didn't think about the bug factor and then Shawn turned around and I saw so much more on his. Eww it was nasty. But still! They're so much fun! I want a blue one...
